Surface Design

Learn felting techniques in this class, learn Resists, Holes, Inclusion, Prefelts, Silk stitches, & Rolls. 

In 6 hours we will make samples for reference. So you can implement these techniques in a finished felting project of your own. 

These techniques can be incorporated into projects to make them more detailed and complex. This class teaches how to create more texture and embellishment for any felting project. This is an advanced class and you need to take a beginning & intermediate class first.

Bring to class; Sack lunch/drink, 3 old bath towels, 1-gallon bucket, 4 heavy knee-highs.

Min attendance 3 - Max 12

Cost $150   materials fee $45

  

Workshops are held at: Chehalem Youth Center 620 N. Morton street.  Newberg, OR 97132

Workshops require a $75 deposit upon registration and balance plus materials fee paid 24 hours prior to class. 

If you do not show or cancel within 48 hours you forfeit the $50 deposit.

2 weeks prior to the class, If we do not meet our minimum class allowance, we will notify you of another date or give you a option of returning your deposit. We do not want this, so tell your friends!

Special Note:

Felting is a physical art and you will be standing most of the class. You will be using your full body strength and need to understand this aspect. We have divided up some of the more demanding classes into two days but be aware that this is physically demanding ART!
