About Newberg, Oregon
Newberg is in the northern end of the acclaimed Willamette Valley wine growing region and 40 minutes by car from the Portland International Airport and 30 minutes form West Portland.
It sits in an area that provides easy access to wineries in the Willamette Valley, Chehalem Mountain, Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills, and Yamhill-Carlton AVAs (American Viticulture Areas - The American version of the French Appellation or Italian D.O.C), and a short distance from the Eola-Amity AVA and the new Van Duzer Corridor AVA.
We have 237 wineries in Yamhill County including many fantastic boutique wineries specializing mostly in world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but you can also find many other varietals, and tasting rooms representing vineyards from California, Washington State and Central and Eastern Oregon. There are over 100 tasting rooms within a radius of 20 minutes by car and many more open for tasting by appointment.
We also have several brewpubs and tap houses offering craft beers from the region and beyond, and world-class dining.
The town of Dundee is five-minutes by car with its many tasting rooms and dining options. The charming town of Carlton with its many wine tasting rooms and restaurants is about twenty-minutes by car, as is the larger town of McMinnville which is about twice the population of Newberg.

Of course, the City of Portland and its nationally renowned restaurants is 30-40 minutes by car.
